5th Annual Sikh Children Day 2008 is being celebrated on Saturday April 5th |

| All the preparations are complete for Sikh Children Day celebration for Sikh children Day Saturday at Fremont Gurdwara Sahib. Last year have more than 400 children participated in different activities and competitions. Entire day from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm is dedicated with different activities and competitions. The day will start with an ardaas and Sikh parade by Fremont Khalsa School. Dastaar competition, Gatka competition, Parshaada competition, Basketball competition and Sikh Art contest will be held for different groups. Mission of this dedicated day is to instill the spirit of Sikhi in your youth and set up the stage to celebrate the birth day of Khalsa in a way so we feel proud of what we are and of our history. ਸਟ੍ਰੀਟ ਲਾਈਨ ਵਿਚ ਤਕਨੀਕੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਉਪ ਪ੍ਰਘਾਨ ਜਿਮ ਰੀਚ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਪੂਰੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਪਾਰਕਿੰਗ ਥਾਵਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਲੱਗਭੱਗ ਛੇ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਵਾਇਰਲੈਸ ਸੈਂਸਰ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰਕਿੰਗ ਸਥਾਨਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਉਪਲਬਧ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਥੋਂ ਲੰਘਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਗੱਡੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਰਫਤਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਗਿਣਤੀ ‘ਤੇ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਰੱਖੀ ਜਾ ਸਕੇਗੀ।
