ਮੁੰਬਈ-  ਆਮਦਨ ਕਰ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਨੇ ਅੱਜ ਇੰਡੀਅਨ ਪ੍ਰੀਮੀਅਰ ਲੀਗ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੀਆਂ ਕੰਪਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਕੰਪਲੈਕਸਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਛਾਪੇ ਮਾਰੇ। ਆਮਦਨ ਕਰ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਇਹ ਛਾਪੇ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਮਾਰੇ ਗਏ ਜਦੋਂ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਏ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਆਈ ਪੀ ਐਲ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਰਣ ਦੀ ਮਾਰਕੀਟਿੰਗ ਏਜੰਸੀ ਵਰਲਡ ਸਪੋਰਟਸ ਗਰੁੱਪ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਰਣ ਏਜੰਸੀ ਮਲਟੀ ਸਕਰੀਨ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਨੇ ਤਕਰੀਬਨ ਅੱਠ ਕਰੋੜ ਡਾਲਰ ਦੀ ਸੁਵਿਧਾ ਫੀਸ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਸੀ। ਆਮਦਨ ਕਰ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਹ ਛਾਪੇ ਅੱਜ ਸਵੇਰੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋਏ ।

BEIJING – A series of strong earthquakes struck a mountainous Tibetan area of western China on Wednesday, killing at least 400 people and injuring more than 10,000 as houses made of mud and wood collapsed, officials said. Many more people were trapped, and the toll was expected to rise.

The largest quake was recorded by the U.S. Geological Survey as magnitude 6.9. In the aftermath, panicked people, many bleeding from their wounds, flooded the streets of a Qinghai province township where most of the homes had been flattened. Students were reportedly buried inside several damaged schools.

NEW DELHI -- Indian American physician, philanthropist and publisher, Dr. Sudhir M. Parikh, received the 2010 Padma Shri award from President Pratibha Patil at a ceremony held in the ornate Ashoka Hall of the Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi, April 7. The New Jersey-based doctor is one of the six distinguished Indian Americans who made the 60th Republic Day honors list.
